The Story:
Brytny is an old friend from high school days who helped me knock out two things from my veil bucket list:
1. Make a veil for a friend
2. Create an heirloom veil
She came to me with hopes I could create a veil to match her satin gown while not taking away from the design and gorgeous simplicity it held. Together we ultimately decided on a fingertip length, and pencil edge for a cohesive look. This is where the fun part began...Brytny also wanted to incorporate her mother's wedding veil from the 80's. It was perfectly kept, a headband style accessory with ivory floral lace, beaded sprays and flower petals made of satin ribbon. I was able to salvage the largest part of the embellishment, attaching it at the comb for a one of a kind floral comb veil. There was even enough material left over for her wonderful florist Kate at Events by Organized Chaos to create a handmade bouquet wrap to match. (see photos below) Photo credit: Two Point Photography
Her review on WeddingWire:
Incorporating my moms veil into my own and having it handcrafted by someone I had the pleasure of growing up with is such a special memory I will carry with me forever!
